My buddy Eric Holden and I had the cool opportunity to record bass and drum parts for the new Andres Lasso recording. It was fun working with producer/engineer Orlando Vitto again after so many years. I know him from back in the “Miami days.” He tracked a lot of the album we did with Fulano in 2005 called “Individual.” For a studio, we used King Size North in N. Hollywood, CA. A super comfy place. Mr. Warner Chappell (Gustavo Menendez) popped in every day to check on the progress. Great to work with old friends!

J.J. LIN “TIMELINE TOUR”

In preparation for the J.J. Lin “Timeline Tour,” we spent two weeks in Taipei rehearsing a selection of over 40 songs from his discography. Lots of material from which to choose. The weeks culminated with a pair of concerts at the Taipei Arena. The shows went well despite a Mother Nature’s attack in the form of a typhoon. Looking forward to more shows this Fall with these beautiful people.

DW “RACE TO THE STAGE” CLINICS
I had the utmost pleasure of taking part in Drum Workshop’s “Race to the Stage” clinic tour of the U.S. My portion included 4 performances at various Guitar Centers on the East Coast. I met a lot of great people at the shows: aspiring drummers, GC employees, etc. Juels Thomas and Darren Carr, the organizers of this event, were a total blast, too. Let’s do more!
